Thought this should be asked, What usernames on Winmx do you go by? If you use a different one than your Zeropaid nick then please list it here, I would like to be able to lend a little professional courtesy to all my zeropaid brothers by being able to recognise you in the cue line. :cross
My feelings on this are that if we have taken the time and effort to become an active member on Zeropaid then why shouldn't we be able to recognise and support each other while on Winmx?
If you don't want to list here then PM me, the main reason I ask this is that I don't see any familiar usernames while I'm on and I know that you guys are out there?

I use the same name, neoufo51, for both Kazaa and WinMX.

You're going through a lot of effort for the very unlikely possibility that we'll be uploading a file from you. I don't expect special treatment because I believe that I should wait in line like the rest of the folks. The whole point is to be connected and share files, so why not be connected and wait in queue?
You are your brother's keeper. Think of all out there in the filesharing community as your brothers, including the ones who don't post at this forum.

If it wasn't for all the damn queues then we wouldn't need to worry. Saying this only solidifies what i've been saying all along, WinMX sucks! In Queue forever. Trash results with trade only crap from Opennap. Opennap, HAHAHAHAHA. Why don't people try better networks like File Spree, Blubster and such. And everybody knows what fasttrack can do. But I personally recommend File Spree. It is as fast as Blubster and performs just like it. But you can share ANY file type. It needs users so stop wasting your time with things like WinMX. And jump on something thats beginning to rise.

I'm on File Spree as "Iguana" (Big Suprise).
I have 240 files and not just your run of the mill files either. So I recommend File Spree to you.
Long live filesharing and the great "First Posting" Iguana, a regular Zeropaid attraction.

I don't happen to use any of the opennap servers at this time, I only use the Winmx peer network and find it to be quite reliable.
Yes there are Traders on Winmx as there are in ANY P2P network, and the only program where you don't get screwed with -once you get connected to a good hub - is Direct connect.
I use Direct connect, gnucleus, Winmx and Edonkey2000 at this time and find them to be satisfactory. And plan on firing up Blubster 2.0 when and if they ever release it.
Thanx for the info

lol I find it amusing that of all the programs out there direct connect is the one you say people screw with you the least, well you must have actually found a few of the last good hubs I guess, because if you go into dc as a newbie this is definately not the case and you'll get your downloads stopped so fast it'll make your head spin. I was bored and went to one of the many many "fake" hubs for fun (you know, the ones that sit atop the hub list claiming 1000 users and it's really 50 or 200 or something) just to see how bad it really is getting and I had this one dick I was trying to get a thelma and louise dvd rip off and he started downloading The Sandlot off me, well 5 seconds later he stopped my download and left the hub like all the true leechers do on dc, so I cut him off right back for being a dickhead and lol he comes right back and resumes it and leaves again, 12 of the 15 downloads I started in this hub were stopped before I got 1mb even and this apparently happens all the time too. Now when I see ppl bitch about dc I can see why, and it's too bad there's not enough hub owners who care about what goes on in their hub enough to enforce simple rules like don't share incomplete's and no cutting people off, or in other words don't be a lamer, anyways I'm glad to see someone's found dc to be positive for once, and if you want to pop into the hub I op in you're welcome to, macgyvers.evildc.com. I guarantee you'll never hear the word trade and if there's anyone cutting off downloads you can be sure they'll be kicked and banned promptly because the hub is about sharing files, not trading or "let me download while I cut you off" type of people, they can go hang out in one of the fake hubs using dc++ and help turn dc into another winmx or hotline lol

Why don't you post the hashes to files you have so we can search by hash and then get them.

I posted the idea in jorge's news posting asking for suggestions that it would be cool to post hash file numbers.
The sharereactor forum and filenexus forum have places to post hasfiles (for use in edonkey) and it's a very cool way to share with friends.
You idea is close to mine and I wondered if there is enough interest to possibly create either a edonkey server for zeropiad folks or maybe a direct connect hub. I haven't used direct connect but am willing to try and of course if we had a hub we could make it easy for zeropiad member to share.
Any other ideas on how we could share with each other?
There is also bad blue but I am not sure it lends itself to this idea.
Anymore ideas?
oh yeah hasfile numbers are the best way to share as you can then be sure your getting what your friend is sharing.
I also read somewhere there is a way to make hashfiles for kazaa but do not know anything more about it, as that would also be a cool alternative.

Psycho, you meant well with the initial posting here. Sometimes I'm an ass and I realize it later on. I have pangs of guilt and am overly apologetic.

No offense taken Ecletica, I have done the same thing myself more times than I would like to admit, and I have been around the net long enough not to get offended easily.
I do have to admit that sometimes even I post trivial things but even then its fun to watch what becomes of the thread over time.

now I know this is a winmx forum, but its already off on a tangent so I figured why not put in my two cents.... I use direct connect on a daily basis. Ive only found one good hub so far but I go there and my resumes resume and very few people kick me off. Sometimes its slow, but sometimes its blazing fast. The hub I connect to usually is run on a PIII with 800 and something megs of ram, has 800 possible true users (usually hovering around 700) and I get transfer speeds between 5-100kb/s... about par for the course I figure except that I get a higher average here no doubt.
I really like the idea of a zeropaid user hub, just keep it off the public lists... :mellow http://www.neo-modus.com they've got some good info here, its the home of direct connect, as well as all the programs you need toget started hosting a hub. I would have done it myself alreeady except that my computer is a fickle bitch that likes to shut itself down given a tenth of an oppurtunity. anyways, hope that helps a little.

The funny thing about that picture you posted psycho, is that looks like a guy I saw in Times Square in Manhattan today. Maybe it is...that guy has been there for a few years.
Small world, right?
