I love that one where they meet the alien god who is really just a little kid and the captain is actually an evil duplicate you know the one? The one where the weird alien crew member with the computerlike brain has something wrong but gets over it mysteriously and that new security guy dies right at the beginning.

Have you ever heard the piece Shatner did mimicing the "I am Canadian" commercials. He really rags on the trekkies. Pretty funny though if you have ever heard the "I am Canadian" commercial. Only Canadians could hit an all time high for patriotism due to a beer commercial.

Shatner "I am Canadian" - Kazaa has it, it actually has the real commercial too. A fine combination.

:devil Cool I'll check it out always need new Shatner humor to play in my Paltalk Room

Anybody looking for good ST humor should check out the STNG/Love Boat parody from Saturday Night Live....another good one from SNL is the episode with Shatner as the host. The first skit was Shatner at a Trekkie convention. He gets pissed off at Trekkies asking him questions about the episodes he can't remember and tells them to move out of their mother's basements and get lives...LOL! Another good one from the same episode has the Enterprise as a floating restaurant and Khan as the health inspector. Great stuff!

and... the animated stuff sucked bad.

As it is now you can watch all of the star trek on various channels now. and TNN runs big blocks of TNG. has been for long enough for me to get sick of it.

I wouldnt mind seeing voyager again tho. but i've downloaded all of those and can watch them whenever i want...

Not enough material? I don't know, there's 178 TNG episodes, 79 TOS episodes, 172 Voyager episodes, 176 Deep Space 9 episodes, 22 TAS episodes, then they've got about 40 episodes of Enterprise, and of course like 12 movies.

Each one is an hour long, it would take 28 days (without showing movies) to show them all if they played around the clock (which would be sweet) and it would take 2 months if they had them on for 12 hours a day.

It is definately possible. Those are all great episodes, every one.

Yea, but even if it took them 3 monts to show every single episode, that would be too quick. Even though nobody is going to sit down for 12 hours a day and watch star trek for a month straight. They need to have a channel witch has star trek episodes maybe 4-6 hours a day and then maybe a movie on the weekend or something. Then they could be something else on between star trek episodes. Maybe the X Files or Baywatch or something. BTW, what is everybody's favorite star trek series. I would have to say TNG but I don't like the new movie.

:devil The only one I really like was DS9 and any episode I want I can download so I don't know if I can take all Star Trek all the time. However another Sci Fi type channel might be ok as lately I really don't really care for the scifi channel that's on.

Yeah, I agree with both of your points. I do have most of the episodes on my harddrive that I like or I did at one time and then got bored of them. I was kinda hinting at another scifi type channel with the X files and stuff. It wouldn't hurt to have two sci fi channels. Hell, they have 2 of just about every other channel (MTV2, C-SPAN2, ESPN2, FOX FAMILY, MSNBC, etc.)

Spud, just ignore everything after "First Contact". The 2 movies that followed did indeed lack a lot of what made TNG good. I'm no where near a BIG ST fan, but even I know how crappy things have gotten recently.

well im not an 'old' star trek fan; i have never gotten into the older series, but i was introduced to ST by my brother when TNG was in its prime, and i hated it. the thing is, i was too young to understand what was going on, and it just wasn't entertaining enough for a pre-adolecent. then while voyager was still going, but during the later end of its run (before enterprise) i started watching reruns religeously. every night durnig the summer it was on at midnight. then enterprise came, and i absolutely love it. that show has quite the budget, and although that doesn't make a show good, in my opinion, it has translated into a great show.

so yeah, enterprise is my favorite.

as for the ST channel, i agree that it'd be nice, but i wouldnt watch it. why? the only ones i watch anymore are the enterprise series. there's not much likelyhood of a current series being syndicated on an all ST channel.

I remember sitting in the theatre, for First Contact. It was the first showing, an afternoon. I skipped work to catch it.

I was sitting there . . . watching . . as Data was being held by the Borg. Then, a voice, like the voice of an angel. While Data questioned representation of the Collective as an entity, I watched the queen as she was lowered in to her free-standing body on cables. And as those cables were released, and her suit snapped in to place . . I hung on her every syllable.

I can recall her every move, her posture, as she walked around the table, her glistening eyes, the movement of her cheeks as she spoke. In that moment, I had an epiphany.

I realized for the first time, the extent of how turned on I am by cybernetic women with prothetics energing from their head. She was the embodiment of all the weirdness and sexuality I had ever looked for in a partial woman. *shiver*

I deeply thank Alice Krige for helping understand what was so difficult to convey in therapy.

Personally DS9 was my favorate. It was nice departure of typical goody goody star trek chracters as they series progressed. The chracters (even the good guys) all developed a nasty and real streak as oppose to acting holier than thou as some of other series.

My favorate episode was when Sisko arranged for Romulan emissary shuttle to get blown up and framed the Dominion for it bring the Romulans in the war.

That was pure evil, lol.

The Iraqi Ambassador to the UN has just finished giving a speech and walks
out into the lobby where he meets President Bush. They shake hands and as they walk the Iraqi says, "You know, I have just one question about what I have seen in America."

President Bush says "Well your Excellency, anything I can do to help you, I will do."

Iraqi whispers "My son watches this show 'Star Trek' and in it there are Russians, and Blacks, and Asians, but never any Iraqis. He is very upset. He doesn't understand why there are never any Iraqis in Star Trek."

President Bush laughs and leans toward the Iraqi, and whispers back, "It's because it takes place in the future.

But the thing is with Star Trek, especially TOS but even with all the series from TNG on, I've already seen them all numerous times. There are TOS episodes I've probably seen 50 times if I've seen them once. The point is that I and any other Trekkies out there don't care how many times we've seen them--we're Trekkies. We're normal human beings in all other respects, the only exception being we become instant retards in regards to Star Trek..it's like what the full moon does for werewolves, or cyberprosthetic babes for Krell. I think that the poll shows there is a definite demographic that would watch an all Trek channel. (At least Theinfamousone and I and probably Krell would watch it often enough, so that's enough right there!) Seems this is a typical demographic concerning Star Trek, some rabid for, some rabid against, and a few in the middle that could take it or leave it but can't understand what all the fuss is over...

I don't have a favorite series--they all have good and bad points. Many of them got off to a slow start--TNG, DS9, and Voyager I thought took at least 2-3 seasons to really start to gel. TOS just dosn't count--its high camp, 60's social commentary, serious sci-fi and technocratic idealism all rolled into one. Even numbered TOS Trek movies don't suck, as they say, but all the TNG movies after First Contact are just glorified 2-part episodes, imho. Too bad this last one was supposed to be the last one--great ensemble cast and characters.

(and Krell, I am not as into robotically enhanced cyberwomen as you are, but somehow Alice Krige manged to blend a truly horrifying character with sensuality and eroticism that was unique, and intriguing. I thought she was pretty good in "Barfly," too btw)

I wouldn't mind another scifi channel either, but in addition to the Trek only channel...Another sci-fi channel that showed alot of older stuff, like Space:1999, Planet Of The Apes, Godzilla UFO, The Prisoner, and lots of MST3K and Babylon 5. I don't know about the Roddenberry channel though--I liked Final Conflict well enough, but I just can't watch "Andromeda" without thinking of that god-awful series Hercules he was in...

Wow, looks like a definitive affirmative on the Trek Channel. Cool!

Who else is getting sick and tired of the melodramatic "Enterprise" commercials UPN keeps running trying to hype the next episode? I don't know, but the next episode, the one with Phlox being oh-so-defiant and anti-Hippocratic, I might blow off just because the commercial has anti-hyped it...
