the day after and i cant hear my songs??

I have been having trouble with kazaa lite for a couple days now. I downloaded songs yesterday and they worked fine. I cat listen to them today. the computer looks like it is working. but no sound? if i play a cd in thecd drive i can hear that i just cant hear songs in my kazaa folder or other streams from the internet. I started having problems last thur when i added another had drive so now i have 2, it has been suggested that maybe my cpu (pentium 2) can't handle2 drives but this is the only problem i am having. any help would be appreciated. I did use the extra codec 's they only worked for a day. three days i had this fixed and its messed up the next day

i dont think your cpu would care how many drives you have.

wait for krell.

check the system volume panel to see if the 'wave' volume has been turned down. check other volume related goodies (is kazaa's volume turned up? blah blah blah)

and call me in the morning (well, no, don't, but it fits the doctor's prescription thing...)

I tried but don't see a volume control for wave devices. I have checked every volume control ican find in thecontrol panel incuding the one one the back of my computer next to where i plug in the speakers. thing is it worked yesterday then all i did was to shut down my puter like normal then the next day i turn it on lie normal and it doesnt have sound i dont understand why it doesn't work

check this:

it should be in a speaker icon in the system tray...

but check the red first, make sure it is unchecked. then play a song (in something other than kazaa, like winamp or wmp, whatever you have). play with the blue one, sliding it up and down. see if it makes any difference.

if it doesn't, than you definitely need krell's help.

My kid turned that down and i did nt even know that was there. I knew about the one you get single click but not double click to get the oe in your picture.
