so we have a bunch of nu-metal losers, some tragic top 40 kids (i mean YOU Koffee Bean), and some boring classic rock morons who listen to turgid guitar music - By Men, For Men. I wouldn't be able to choose an all time favorite song. Even a top 20 list would change frequently for me. It really does depend on what kinda mood I'm in and what kinda music I want to listen to.
Sometimes I like really heavy songs that demand to be turned up at full volume while wearing headphones. "I Know Your Name" by Tad Morose or "One Way Out" by Steel Prophet fits that category for me.
Sometimes I really like heavy but melodic ballad-type music. "You Can't Kill Rock And Roll" by Ozzy or "Still I'm Bleeding" by Angel Dust would fill this craving.
Then there are other times when I want to hear classic rock, but not one of the 50 songs that are always in rotation at radio stations (believe it or not, there really were more than 50 or 60 songs written in the 60's and 70's...and some of them are very good). For example, "Blue Mist" by Mama's Pride or "Movin' On" by Missouri.
And of course, there is the alternative scene which can be good, but which I don't actively try to keep up with. A few years back I lived a little closer to civilization and was actually able to get a few radio stations. Some of the bands that I enjoyed listening to were the Offspring, Oasis and Stone Temple Pilots.
So that's about as close as I can get to any all time favorite songs.
Tic3
PS...To those who feel the need to criticize others' tastes in music - Instead of instulting people, you should be thanking god that we don't all like the same kind of music.

I'll list some bands, cause I don't feel like thinking of their best song, so here it is in no particular order:
Led Zepplin
Tom Petty
Dashboard Confessional
Ben Kweller
Rage against the Machine
Paul Simon
Dire Straits
The Doors
Lynard Skynard
Cream
CCR
Pink Floyd
Some of the best music ever made came from these guys! I also disagree that all new music is manufactured. Rage and Kweller are both new or relativly new but excellent. Oh, and anyone who mentioned linkin park or eminem should be shot. I am sorry, but you are a waste of human flesh if you just listen to whoever is popular at the moment and decide that they deserve to be on this list.

Ah yes what would a thread be without the Troll of Zeropaid commenting that everybody else sucks. You know you don't ever contribute anything to these forums but rather get your rocks off by slamming people that have the guts to try and contribute their thoughts. That's pretty spineless and pathetic but I guess I should resign myself to the fact that some people are just that way.
BTW everybody ignore the troll and post your lists. If you like something you shouldn't give a rat's ass what ANYBODY else thinks......

Top 20 all time,
well, I listen to so many styles of music but my 20 songs would be from Nirvana and any other rock/hard rock/kid rock :)/meta;/heavy metal/death metal/speed metal/trash metal/gothic metal/nu metal/old metal... damn !!! metal SUX!
Yeah, Nirvana is my N 1 band. I really cannot put some bull one-month-sheeeeeeet like Shakira, or t.A.tU, etc. Threfore, they do not even deserve to be burnt to my CDs. Just keep em in my mp3 collection for some time and when I start throwing up on that commercial crap i flush them :)

Hey Rickio - Yes, I have the Supersessions album, thanx man, one of the greatest. I especially love the horn section thing in Season Of The Witch. I have a great bootleg Stills album, live in Berkeley, and a couple of the old Manassas albums. Today I listened to an old Poco album (greatest hits), John Mayall's The Turning Point (vinyl rip), and John Sebastian's Tarzana Kid (also a great vinyl rip), and Neil Young's 1st solo album, especially The Emperor of Wyoming and The Loner. I need to get back over to Music Magnet and talk to you guys.

It is so not, Amber!
What year did it become your fave?
You would have been around 8 when it came out.
And for those just DYING for me to answer this thread, I cannot possibly do it. The density (no pun intended) of the amount of music I enjoy is so massive, mentioning anything would not only be an insult to other bands I favor, it would also poorly reflect my varied tastes.
When time is over, I may let you know then.

I am with LOTD. I have a favorite by each band, but to make a list of all those favorites would take me too long and I quite frankly have no desire to waste that much time on a thread LOL.
That being said my two all time favorite songs have to be Strawberry Fields Forever and Here Comes the Sun. Followed very closely by Something and Watching the Wheels.
And yes Amber is correct.
