Having Trouble sharing files

Help...no one can get files from me....

We recently got DSL and ever since, people will try to upload from me and their uploads never start. What do I need to change my settings to so that people can upload from me? I hate watching all these uploads fail while I am downloading from others; it makes me feel like a leech. I don't have many files, but I would like what I have to be available. Thanks.

it is an issue with the port you are using for udp connections.

there are several possible causes and a variety of options to fix it.

You did not mention a router, so I will assume you dont have one, if you do you will need to port forward the ports you use for tcp and udp through your router (typically 6699 and 6257) .

if you are not behind a router you will be able to ignore the above statement.
