Nice image, I really like the theme, so I kept in the same theme below is one that I came up with, image has been reduced for the sake of forum posting.

Yeah cool...I need to learn how to work with images. What do you guys recommend I begin with.
Here are a few images you might be able to use as templates or whatever :-)

I use several programs for image manipulation, here are some good programs to try:
Photoshop = fairly easy to learn and has TONS of filters and pluggins
Bryce3d = this is a simple 3d design program
Paintshop Pro = also a nice program, I like photoshop better
3d Studio Max, Truespace, Extreme 3d,
Lightwave, Rhinocerous = advanced 3d modeling programs
I would say start with Photoshop and get some pluggins and filters and play around = also get Bryce and try it you won't be dissapointed,

Photoshop rules when added with illustrator you can do a ton of stuff with images and layout
