I'm a new member. I want to install kazaa. I've read a few thread to enlighten me, but I'm still not sure what kind of software I need.

I have both Kazaa and kazaa lite, adaware, kazaaspeed, cookie pal 1.7, diet kazaa but I'm not sure in which order to install them and what are the precautions I need to take to avoid viruses and spywares.(I have Mc Afee and zone alarm installed already.)

I have a simple solution. Take it one step at a time.

First install Kazaa++ (http://doa2.host.sk/) which is by far the best Kazaa "Option".

From there, others should be able to help you install other "extras" you mentioned like:

adaware, kazaaspeed, cookie pal 1.7, diet kazaa

Get K++. Like Kazaa Lite, but with more features.
Go to www.K-lite.tk, then go to downloads to get it.
Good luck File-Sharing, make sure to stay away from small executables, and only download stuff which has a lot of sources.

Edit: It would appear Ken beat me to it... Damn 130 sec rule...

well as pointed out (3 times to be exact), you should get K++. this is exponetially better than any other "version" of kazaa.
-no spyware/adware
-unloads unnecessary files
-adds tons of cool little features that SHOULD be in kazaa in the first place

i dont think you'll get any (unbiased) recomendations to go elsewhere for your fasttrack needs.

once you have that installed, we'll take it from there.
