Red Crosses

What are the red crosses that appear against the blue file icons when I search now on Kazaa?-when I try to download one of those files, the status bar immediately comes up "Failed" and if I try to resume the download, it just searches forever.

Do I need to download the new version? I'm thinking of switching to K-Lite anyway, but I'm on a dial up and am halfway through a big game file so don't want to switch just yet!!

its because both you and the target are behind firewalls, or something like that anyway :-P

I don't know, it's just sprung up over night (almost) and I've never had any firewall problems before using Kazaa, and there's nothing on their homepage about it.

trust me man, weve had threads on this before wen people thought sharman were blocking them from downloading files.

Open kazaa, go to the options menu, then filter, then check the box for "filter files I cannot download due to firewalls"

You can switch to K-lite in the middle of a download, here's how

Shut off kazaa completely, find your downloads folder, COPY everything to another folder, just to make sure its backed up, then uninstall kazaa, install kazaa lite, and copy everything back to your downloads folder

They're the exact same files, the client is really the same to, just without spyware

If you're still using Kazaa, you should really run Spybot after uninstall security.kolla.de

Get the latest version of kazaa lite at www.k-lite.tk , anywhere else and its not kazaa lite
