Movie download is a terrible copy try to delete says"unable to delete file used by others" cant rename file. File has a TMD in discription. Any help will be appreciated.

like nasrules said - close down all ur p2p apps. the error message sort of self-explanatorily tells u that other users are d/l the file off u so u can't delete it.

if that doesnt work then it could be to do with the windows xp handling of avi files. this of course is you are running xp!

just go to "start", "run", and then type "REGSVR32 /U SHMEDIA.DLL" without the ". this unregisters the avi handling which lets you move it about and delete it.

Sometimes, you can right click the file, and h o l d it for about 10 seconds, then chose delete.

hmmmmm this has happened to me before all you have to do is restart computer>> then try to uninstall ... and everyone else is right make sure you are not useing any programs that are useing this file:mellow

Another thing that works for me is after all of my p2p apps are closed, use the Windows "CUT and PASTE" commands.

Simply cut the file, paste it to the recycle bin and then delete it from there. Don't know why this works but it has in the past for me.

Even with my p2p apps closed, sometimes Windows just will not allow you to delete the file. Must be some type of a "feature" that I just don't understand.
