Hare may be of use to you. http://www.dachshundsoftware.com/index.html
And you can also check out System Mechanic. But I heed you some advice; only install it and use it if you really know what you are doing. It is some powerful software that can screw up your comp. If you don't know what you're doing, you best not install it. If you wanna give it a go, read through the documentation VERY closely and stay on the safe side. I'm not responsible for anything you may do wrong.

WOAH!!!! back up
NEVER ever download and run an executible like that, that "tuner" could easily be a trojan
There is really only one tweak that will help you
First, check out these 5 tips from TechTV http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/broadband/story/0,24330,3309781,00.html
Then go to http://cable-dsl.home.att.net/ and find the appropriate registry key, that is the only setting with any real benefit, the rest of the programs out there are mainly scams, or really do nothing at all
edit: DISREGARD ORION he will be banned shortly, he is posting virus's

Phalkon, were you referring to me? If so, sorry, didn't realize it could cause that much damage.

I don't trust anyone with those colored face avatars. CCSDUDE saved me from screwing up my comp before because someone named MoonMann recommended deleting a certain files in the system32 folder which was supposedly spyware. I don't trust this guy either, actually, I'm pretty sure it's the same guy.

Absolutely not, I'm reffering to orion
TIO, yeah, I saw that post, most likely the same guy, this will make it very hard to trust anybody new
Orion has posted this link in another thread, with a completely unrelated purpose for the file, and somebody mentioned they got a "corrupt file" error or something, its almost possitively a bakckdoor

That thing Orion posted is some sort of utility that has been tampered with, the CRC is wrong and there are other difficulties. Everything on the server at that port wants to load it to you and the main site doesn;t seem to know a damn thing about it except that people keep requesting it and it thinks it's giving them a file not found error (but it isn't)

Speedguide (http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_patches.shtml) is my favorite place to go for optimizers. They have registry patches you download to correctly optimize your connection. I noticed a big increase in speed after I applied those patches.

I've tried all kinds of internet boosters, but I found that there is no substitute for a high speed connection and lots of RAM.

When I reformatted my computer, I tested 2 or 3 times the speed at one of those speed tester sites....1.1Mbits, I used a program called TCPOptimizer, 10 seconds later I was at 2.3 Mbits, and it hasn't gone back down.
