Is there a program that is similar to Avi Preview? One that will work in the same manner?

Or am I just wasting my time looking for one........being as that there are no authentic alternatives?

Thanks in advance.

There is one called iOmedia player. It is basically just like Avi Preview exept for it has a lot more features. I can't find it anywhere on kazaa though so you will probably have to buy it if you want it.

iomedia uses avi previews program plus it adds more features adding it into its media player, but i beleive you have to pay for it.
there was also a klite dat viewer before but that is very simular to the dat viewer that comes with kazaalite, but i dont tgink there is is any other program currently.

I don't understand why you even need an alternative. Why not just actually use avi preview?

I wondered that 2. They make the s/w to do then users just dont use it or ignore it and use another......how strange.........

Thanks everyone.............seems like it works great.

To answer your question, I just like having the option. I read about videoLAN and saw that it was pretty much right out of the box and can play many of the common vids w/out the proper codecs installed. I eventually get them installed but its a bizznotch on 56k, so that's a convenience.

So, overall it seemed compromising and I got it.

Ah now it makes sense.

I didn't get it, but that's ok, I won't lose any sleep over it. It can play videos without the required codec installed? Didn't know that.

I've tried videoLAN, both autoinstall version and noninstall version, but there's something hard: I don't know which modules/decoders to choose.
Could anybody help me with that?
