I've been away from the FastTrack community for about 5 months now. There's so much stuff I see out there that I have no idea what's what!

Would anybody care to give their opinion on what the best way to go with Kazaa Lite and all these add-ons and stuff? Which programs work best with others, what's the best version of Kazaa-whatever to go with, etc?

www.k-lite.tk is a very good website for downloading anything kazaa related thats any good, my humble friend.

The newest, bestest thing right now is kazaa lite 2.1 with K++ built in.

-you wont have to worry about participation levels or anything
-auto search more
-all the good stuff in 1 package through the link above
-its kazaa lite, so no spyware or ads
-what the fuck are you still waiting for? DOWNLOAD!

Well welcome back, there have been a TON of changes for Kazaa lite

One of the most noticeable, is the addition of K++, the official home of K++ Kazaa lite is www.k-lite.tk

Go there, get the latest version

Thats really all you need, seriously, its bundled with any software that you might need to make it work well for you, and if you have any questions about what to install, or how to use the stuff, just let us know

One other thing, you may have heard about something called Diet Kazaa, it used to be a valuable add on, now everything it does, can be found built right into K-lite! so you don't really need to use it (although through a little work you can set it up, if you really want to...)

Cool. Good to hear that there are many advances. :)

I never really did care for Diet Kaza. One thing that I did like, at least as far as appearances goes, was Qube's Kazaa Lite "Advanced Edition". Is this still relevent?

When you mention you don't have to worry about the participation level anymore, does that mean that it completely bypasses it, or has it implemented the cheater tool?

And the one proverbial holy grail I've forever been looking for - a command-line FastTrack client for Linux consoles. I've got a shell account that gives me 60GB of bandwidth a month, I'd sure like to put it to use ;) ... anybody even think about working on one?

Thanks for the replies, away I go *lol*

Not really, for one, its not needed, the extra menus and buttons are filled or gone now, and pretty much everything says kazaa lite, Random Nut from the K-lite forums really hacked this program appart, there are MANY new features that should have been in the original kazaa

You have a participation level of 1000, it never goes up, never goes down, so yes in a way its bypassed, but in away its got a cheater tool :)

Dang....I think you're on your own for that one, check out www.k-lite.tk and ask around the forums, maybe there is one I don't know about, or maybe somebody could create one?

there was a commandline fasttrack-progie until sharman bought kazaa (when morpheus was shut down), but since it didnt have any adds, sharman shut that one down too. you can however get k-lite working in linux by using wine and a few win98SE dll:s.

WINE won't help me when I have no GUI to use it with :(
