winmx user name

I'm a new user and just recently realized that the bottom portion is of people uploading from me (sorry to those I deleted!) I'm just wondering what my user name is during searches. This program was installed for me, so I don't know what it is. Thanks

you will not see yourself when searching for a file you have, etc.

if you're asking what winmx is, it's a file sharing program. meaning you can download music, movies, etc. for free without having to pay.

No big deal, when you start the program, and it is connecting you will see network identity. You can also view this any time you click on networks at the top of the page. Hope this helps. PS you can change it at any time if the name does not suit you.

I understand I won't see my user name when I am searching, but I see other names of users and I was just wondering how they got there. And to the Hunter.... I clicked on Networks and all I got was the green flashing thing to start searching. It's no big deal, but it's got me curious... thanks

All right, I think I should change my name from ocd-queen, to blond idiot.... I have figured it out! If I get confused in the future, it's nice to know there's help for me out there.... thanks

Under the flashing green icon you should see Network identity, and under that Screen Name. That is your user name.
