While surfing the net, I came across a site where they were hosting audiogalaxy. Now this is in no way legit, so why is it still up? Isn't their new P2P called Rhapsody and it is pay?
Here is the link where I found it.

I was never an AudioGalaxy user.
I used FileNavigator after Napster died. It was good when MusicCity had their servers and that in combination with other opennap servers. It kicked ass for music.

so is this Rhapsody pretty much the same as AG minus the free factor, or is it crappy?

Rhapsody is not even a file sharing cliënt. As a registered member you are just able to download mp3-files of 'signed' arists from their servers. The offer in music is relatively poor, as they only have the ability to host songs by artists that have given permission for this. The idea is that the featured artists receive royalities for the permission they gave (probably based on the amount of downloads of their songs) In a way you can best compare it to sites that allow people to buy mp3s. Only Rhapsody has the one advantage that it is relatively cheaper, as you can download quite alot for the standard fee that is charged for membership. I've never used it myself, but this is what I read about it, and it seems most logical. Because there is just no way that a true file sharing program is endorsed/tolerated by both 'signed' artists (meaning the ones that are with the bigger record labels) and the RIAA....
I say it isn't worth your time...

True but Replace kazaa(www.kazaa.com) with Kazaa++(http://doa2.host.sk) and then you can forget the last part of you're post concerning pop-ups.

Stop right there and immediately drop that POS software. Pick up K++ at www.k-lite.tk. Knowledge is power.
EDIT: Serrebi and Ken answered as I was typing this. :)
