I've been an avid user of Spybot for some time now (I came across it a little over 2 years ago). I updated the latest version (beta 5) and it now having trouble deleting temp files. An error occurs and is now occuring consistently, even though I've tried to remedy the problem. Attached is a pic to give you a better sense of what I'm talking about. Thank you very much for any help I may be able to receive.

Here is a pic specifically showing MOST of what it could not delete. I could not fit all of it in just 1 screenshot, but the majority of it is there. From this shot, you should see where the problem lies.

Leave this version in, and install a NON BETA copy to a different dirrectory, you can have multiple copies on the same hd as long as they're in different folders
Once you have an older version installed, scan with that and see if its fixed
Also, close ALL apps before running spybot, if a file is in use it can't be deleted

Ok the supposed pic didn't work above. So I'm gonna try it again here. Description remains the same.

Damnit, I'm getting the same thing
Its nothing you're doing, I just checked the forums for spybot, its a common problem on xp and possibly 2k machines
Wait a few days to a week for a new version, remember this is a BETA, not a full version. He is working on making spybot 1.2 final, and should be done this week, it should fix this problem, plus the two registry exploit changes that don't work
I'll try to keep you posted, but you can check the forums at http://www.net-integration.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?s=3e6b98065d09ffff;act=SF;f=24 for updates yourself, most of the problems I have I see on their forums very quickly, and they are dealt with very quickly

Yea, thanks Phalkon. I went there last week and have been meaning to come around and post about it. My emails were redirected and I've had a hectic week.
For now, I'm doing fine using the 1.1 Release 4 version w/ updated detections. And he said he's working out the kinks to remove the BSO exploit, so everything should be good in the next couple days. As they always say.....shiznit happens
