Dude.... - http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_BUGBEAR.A -

Just do a search on Google for the virii name you already posted....

Then go over ALL that it shows you, check the reg...check for odd files in different folders. Sort by date and look for stuff created on the infection date. Check for stuff that has no creation date....

Just cuz you scan doesn't mean the A/V software grabbed everything.

Download the non-user version and the newest dat file.

And....my guess would be to just format after you save all your downloaded data. Start from scratch so you know whats going on your system.

Bugbear sounds a bit nasty.

Have a look here if you haven't done something similar already:

Is you virus scanner up to date?

Edit: Well said CCSDUDE - I'm slow to post

rctempire - what O/S are you?

Run these antivirus scans, and tell me your O/S , I will help you tell exactly whats going on.

Does PC cillin have an autoprotect thing? What I mean is, Norton has an autoprotect that scans all the time, incoming stuff, outgoing stuff, running apps etc. Is that what you're talking about?

PS I have no idea what I'm talking about, so just ignore me if I sound like a moron.
