You probably dont have the right codecs installed.

Well, there's plenty of people who can help here, but you need to give us more information. What file types did you download? What OS do you have? What media player are you using when you're trying to view those movies?

http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5626 is an excelent link page, it should have links to everything you will need

Get a program called G-spot from http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ and tell us what it tells you, it should also tell you which codecs you need to play the movie

I just got everyone's responses and I really appreciate it! I think you have given me enough info that I should be able to figure it out. I knew there had to be something I was missing but I didn't know what.

It says no codec needed in G-spot. I think I'm just going to have to take some major time and "do my homework" on this. Thanks for everyone's help.

Its possible you got bad movies, did you use Sig2dat?

check out http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7489&perpage=15&pagenumber=1

Find a movie off of one of those, or just try www.fasttrackmovies.com , when you're there, click a link, and depending on kazaa version, have kazaa open at the time, or restart kazaa, you should get a VERIFIED movie, which is known to be good, if you still have problems after that, we'll have to look deeper

Most movies smaller then 600mb are indeed terrible quality.

I've downloaded 450 and even 388 mb movies with superb quality and 850 mb files with shitty sound and image. so it's not about the file size it's rather about the ripping process.

You are probably talking about small movies in .avi format. Because I never got a large good quality movie below 600mb. I don't download movies anymore anyway, I need space for games =P
