I have downloaded a small movie clip and i have been trying to converted to vcd using nero sofoware. However when i try to load it into nero window area after opening nero vcd compilation wizard, the clip (file) would not transfer into nero's window enviroment-[i don't know how to explain it-anybody got my point please?] Anyway whenever i try to transfe the clip into nero conversion window, it would automaticlly closes the nero enviroment completly and i am back to my desktop enviroment. I tried in many occasions. I don't have a problem with other movie files/clips. I have all latest codecs and softwares. I tried to reencod it using TPMPGE File encoder and it would not let me do it. I get an error that would say "CAN NOT BE USED AS EXTERNAL ENCODER". Is is weired i have not even tried to use as an external encoder rather i was just want to reincode it to mpeg file format so i can converted it into VCD using nero software. I don't know what i am doing wrong and I don't know what is going on. Can anyone please have any suggestion or help me rectify this problem? Thanks and appreciate your help. Just in case, the following is information regarding this particular movie file clip.

unless you download as a vcd mpeg1 file, you gotta convert it to vcd with some kinda software (at least i do). if you visit http://www.vcdhelp.com you will find an endless supply of tutorials, walkthroughs, guides, and pictures of how to do what your wanting. I personally download *.avi files normally and convert to vcd with tmpgenc.

tmpgenc has problems with some file types, like dv which i have just run into, but the website i mentioned has ways of dealing with these too. If you'll spend some time looking through the FAQ section of the site, i'm sure someone else has had that problem too.

Also, if nero is exiting out completely just by adding a file to the burn window, then nero may be a bit buggy. perhaps you should reinstall/upgrade nero. that i'm not too sure about.
