Put it in whatever directory you feel most comfortable with. I keep mine in a folder under 'My Documents.' That way it is inacessible to my parents when they are under different logon names in xp. ;) But, no, it shouldn't interfere with your downloading of video files.
For the second part, you can put your video files in the same folder as your audio files. I prefer to keep all of it separate. I categorize them in subdirectories by Audio, Documents, Images, Software, and Video.
Are you worried about security in terms of RIAA, MPAA, etc? If so, be more specific and WE will all gladly help you out. Just make sure you have a good updated firewall and don't do anything to cause suspicion.
I hope I understood the gist of your question. If not, post again and I'm sure someone will help.
BTW, what P2P program are you using? Or are you using IRC or hubs?

Yes. If you are using KaZaA Lite, download the latest version and install the privacy patch available from www.k-lite.tk. You'll be safe from the RIAA, MediaForce, etc. if you do this.

Yeah, I think Ryan pretty much cleared all that up for you. The most safe thing to do is to backup all your files and proceed to delete them from your drive, lol. But who's gonna do that? Sure, the last couple years ppl have been getting busted. It lingers in your mind, but you can't be scared. Otherwise, you're letting them win and get under your skin. It's the same as being scared of those damned terrorists.

This site will help give you bad IP ranges of RIAA, MediaForce, MPAA, etc. Use this to update your firewall frequently. Their server is down right now, but it should come back up soon. It may not be the most effective, but it's better than nothing.

I share all my crap. If not, you can be seen as a leecher. But in this day and age, if it is absolutely necessary, you can opt out of sharing your files if you feel it makes you that much safer.
I would recommend you do this only if you have a TON of songs though and you are raping the hell out of hubs. Other than that, it's up to you.
