Doesnt mimandy post at UTC?
More rules links could be embedded in page templates, you shouldnt have to look to find the rules. aka: NO ONE WILL
The question itself is ok, . . . just no warez links. The question can be answered by asking " How do I . . . FTP . . . blah blah blah", but if its for cracks, keygens etc, FORGET IT.
And while were on the subject, we have a lot of cross membership with UTC, and I dont see anyone asking these questions over there, or A LOT of other rule breaking, people who are a pain in the ass here, are all snuggly and compliant over there, why? Because they can be. Why is UTC so "nice"?, well as far as I can assertain, they dont *cough* *tolerate* have the BS to deal with that we do here. I still think our mods have it a lot tougher here due to our disproprotionate influx of rejects.
And for the record I saw Lamourladys remark there about "my" kinda place, from which I was inferring that she is a nice person. Either I was mistaken about her niceness, or it was misinterpreted, but if I had meant "lameness" I would have damn well said so.

UTC does not tolerate as much of the crap that the moderators at Zeropaid do. Good thing? Bad thing?
I think it has its good points and bad points.
They don't have to expect scrutiny when someone is banned, hell as far as I can tell it's a no questions asked type of thing. They don't have to put up with people who decide to be an ass but JUST within the bounds of the rules such as Galileo has done many a time. They don't "allow" flaming under any (yeah right) circumstance. Etc.
Well on the other side of the coin they seem to have short fuses, extreme moderation tactics, hypocritical attitudes, I could go on but what is the point? They aren't my kind of place because they don't allow freedom of expression. No I don't mean cussing or even leud expressions.. I mean being able to say my opinion on a mostly one sided arguement. As I have seen many times, they are too heavy handed on someone who decides to "defy" a person with power.. I think that may be the reason why CCSDUDE stopped posting there (not sure though). I will continue to post their once and a while, but when it comes to true expression and opinion, that is not my place.
On a lighter note, there are alot of people who post only there whom I have massive respect for.. though I will not name them because I don't feel like kissing that many asses today.

hmmmmmm.
in either case.....u don't know me well enough to have said anything at all, now, eh?
lame or nice.
but ur referrals to the place didn't sound so "nice", therefore how would one take it, if they were told it was "their" kind of place after that?
i had to visit, to make a decision for myself.
and when in the mood.......it is my kinda place.
i prefer ZP.
but they're a good crowd over there and i'll go visit from time to time.
in any case, Krell.
i'll hope deep down, u thought/think i am nice.
if not........oh, well.
i'm here to stay, baybay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMHO
as a newb here and UTC, having read a LOT of both forums over the last few months and joing both in the last few weeks, i notice a big difference in enforcment of the rules.
I can't believe how many post I see here that are one of the following varities:
"What are warez, I like warez where do I get them"
PLZ email me @ stoopidfuc@aol
or
"yur dumb and yur mums so fat she has a zipcode"
reply
"I know his mum, and she only has an Area code, A$$hole, and if you knew anything about local loops you'd know she and her area code are worth money!!!!!"
or
"I found a site in poland that steals the stuff for ya, heres the link"
or
"That site in polands down so here's another one I found"
reply
"we already told you no warez, no ........."
reply
"yeah like he said, and the next twenty posts will say, no...."
reply
"no warez, welcome aboard you Effin Idoit"
reply
"hey thanks for the welcome aboard, and I found this site that steals stuff and brings it too your house if you have dial-up"
"http://www.justsendyourmoneyintomecuzthenIdonthavetosteal fromyou.com"
etc etc etc et cetera
All I'm saying is if you enforce the rules with a smile and say like the community or F off and yes we will ban as many IP's as you come in on, and STOP threads that break the rules, you may find it becomes a more mature community and not just a Lurkin Leech hangout which it could become left unchecked.
And if the flames are an issue, or language becomes an issue, I have seen code on sites that hides it all from you and it makes you have to go an extra click to see things like posts with excessive language, Pron, flames etc so the mods aren't censoring anything, just moving it down a layer, so those of us that trust their judgment don't have to see it, but can if we wish. Damn Fair by me

Those sound like good ideas but I kinda like the site as the way it is. But they have been banning people like zeropain constantly and I have seen them close or delete plenty of threads that are breaking the rules. In fact some think they moderate a little too much. The only thing they don't worry about is cussing and maybe some pics so a little too much skin but I like this site the way it is; I can be myself here.

On most instances, that isn't the case. You are either exaggerating a great deal, lying, or are thinking of another time.
Most people who hang here a great deal don't do so only to shoot people down.
EDIT: I pretty much agree with what Versacity has said.

While were on the subject of UTC verses ZP, I think that because UTC has alot more MODS they crack down alot harder. I get the feeling that you really cant speak your mind on UTC because of the automated censorship.
@ UTC, if you say SHIT it comes back like ####. It makes a lot of threads difficult to understand. Basically, I take it as a control thing of UTC telling us what we can say or cannot say. I personally hate any type of censorship. Its like one of those chats with a robot that automatically kicks you out for writing a curse word.
Here people can speak there minds, as long as it is appropriate and in context with the thread, and the 'bad' words are not directed towards flaming another.
Obviously there are things that should not be tolerated like warez, and even as some people discuss what they like to download, it can put the staff at ZP in a bad position because it can allow an excuse for the gov to come in and say "give me that persons IP".

We had the censoring here for a while, but I supported the idea of removing it. When it gets out of hand we will deal with it ourselves. This is not to knock UTC, but we did not need two sites the same.

Please note the IMHO opening my post
dont take my posts to serious....Wurd
I was simply throwin a little humor at threads that annoy me and what I would consider a pain in my ass were I a mod..
And if I hit a lil close to home, my apologies, but sarcasm has to have an element of truth.
I obviously like the joint and intend to hang out a while:shy
It's fine how it is, but making things you have an influence on better is a noble act
See how I sound serious!!!! Lighten up!
Your Forum is L33+ and alot of the dynamic here is hard to find elsewhere.:fire

Don't start preaching to the choir. We know about filters, have used them, and have addressed these issues long long before you registered.
We appreciate your nobility, glad you like our dynamic, and would certainly appreciate you not coming in with guns blazing till you've been here a while. Wurd
And even when you have been here a while, tread softly, you'll just end up pissin off Lamourlady.

Krell, with all due respect Lighten up. IMHO means well....I guess sarcasm isn't the right approach.
I get your point, and it sounds like you all have dealt with some less than constructive members. That suxor!
As for the suggestions, they are just that ignore them if you wish. And no I don't know what went on here prior to a few months ago.
And to whoever reads this, not just krell....
Demeaning members on account of their post total is using the concept of TENURE. Those of you with experience in academic institutions know it is a highly faulty system. Merit, integrity, contribution or post content is a far better albeit non quantifiable judge of a member. and IMHO I think personal attacks have absolutely no place in a community built around SHARING think of the irony there for a minute. Now commence attacking one another:cross A little humor goes along way, I may not be funny, but your welcome to laugh at me if it will help even one person lighten up.
Peace love and hippie blessings

Oh, did you interpret that as an attack and demeaning?
Interesting.
Not at all, what I was reffering to is how people come here, and jump right in the fire, without a history and knowledge to back it up. I simply suggested that your merit, integrity, contribution will be proven with "time".
Otherwise, how do we know what you say isnt sheer speculation, or exageration, as MoonMan suggests?
I have no problem with taking a hard line as apposed to dealing with crap, no disagreement there at all. However, judgement calls on policy and acceptable behavior is best served by our moderators, and members who have been here long enough to have a feel for the way the site functions, not a member with a 2 week tenure. Sorry, but this isnt an academic institution, and your qualifications do not precede you.
Thx for understanding.

100% agreed
Wasn't trying to hone in on any "judgement issues"
It occurs to me that I am guilty of what I call "I know you" syndrome. named of the odd phenomenon I've seen in many parts of the world. Eat at the same chinese food joint a few times in any chinatown I've been in, and within a handful of visits even over months. "I know you" is the greeting I get. The Irony is they don't. and in this case, I been reading posts new and old, kinda catching up on the scene. Kinda seems like "I know you" And then I pop off with unwaranted familiarity, Sry.
And yes moonman is correct I was greatly exagerating, exagerating with reckless diligence
