ive been downloading stuff from the internet for about 5 years now maybe. back in the old days it was topsites, irc, newsgroups and ftp.

its too tedious sometimes to get at some rare stuff. you really have to look arround and some nice places are really hard to get into .

what i liked about p2p is its very easy and fast to search through stuff. but i still would like to get more info on whats the best for rare stuff.

i still cant find a LOT of things ive been looking for for years, but im very sure they are being shared on the internet.

for e.g.
artist : meam, blurring of trees, slorarium,

movie: rubber's lover , brothers quay, el topo, Kirby Dick's film Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagan

programme : organic arts

game : postal

0 sec releases like:

Cdatakill_-_Southeast_Aurora_Syndrome_EP-(HARDLINE10)-Vinyl-2003-SQ
Super_Collider_Live_-_Hybrid_at_Flex-Vienna-CABLE-10-22-2002-MS
Super_Collider-Raw_digits-2002-NuHS

theres countless other files im looking for.

ive tried most of the stuff listed here but im forced to go back to private communites and just wait arround and hope some one in real life is willing to rip and trade stuff with you. that takes a lot of time.

what are good filesharing means to get fringe stuff that catters to very spesific tasttes like underground but commercial music like idm, industrial and gabba, audio synthesis books, schematic diagrams, cult / independant movies / festival movies , banned / un realeased video games.... things of that nature.

i keep going back to slsk for music and ed2k for my movie fix. just found some nice private opennap servers for electronic music.

didnt like dc, fasttrack, gnutella, piolet, ares and filetopia.
is there anything else i can try?

what works for me for now is hanging arround and waiting in ftp, irc, Ngs and just spreading my requests through word of mouth and hoping some one will be willing to sit and rip stuff and put it up for share. it works but its a very very slow process

isn't postal the game that was voted as one of the 10 worst games of all time. Are you trying to collect garbage.

Is this quote a question or a statement?

Also, if you have been doing P2P or downloading direct for 5 years then I cant understand what's the problem.

I mean you are the one who came to ZP with the ISONEWS thread, so you obviously know P2P. So are you asking a question or just sort of telling us what kind of a person you are before anybody even took the time to ask?

isn't postal the game that was voted as one of the 10 worst games of all time. Are you trying to collect garbage.

Lol...hahahahaha

He's still a newbie with a bad attitude who still doesnt have the feel for ZP and according to his list of ingredients, I dont think he has good taste either.

Truth is on his second post as a 'newbie' he told somebody here to 'blow him' and I hate that kinda cocky flame.

He's asking where and how he can get the rare stuff he listed.

Hey, bud, use WINMX

www.WINMX.com for the program
http://winmxinfo.cjb.net for secrets on how to use it.

I Found a lot of your stuff, easily.

i dont have any malicious intent, just trying to get help man, english is not my first language.......maybe im not just getting across to you guys correctly.

about the 5 year comment.
that was just background on myself. does it come across as boasting? hmm. sorry about that

the point is ive tried a lot of things. im still frustrated and really could use help. honestly. im just hear to try to help and get help

now i still have a problem.... so much stuff i see pop up in nfo sites and 0 day release info sites, but i still cant find it.

the method working for me is asking ppl and tiny communities to which i belong to and the problem with that is it can take months to get to stuff i want.

ive listed teh software that ive tried.

slsk, opennap and ed2k are good.

is there anyother resource i can tap into for getting the files?

p.s. the suck my cock comment. im sorry, didnt mean it.

if theres search terms that can help, im looking for some japanese animation like

twilight of the dark master
goku midnight eye
golgo
x the movie
genocyber
me geist
rubber's lover
......theres more, ive seen some of the above pop up on fasttrack from time to time but the fequency is very low.

I agree with GaliIeo_. I have never had better search results with a P2P program until I started using WinMX. And keep the servers list updated with a program like MXlinx, you won't be sorry.:mellow

Sometimes you have to accept that your not going to get everything.

But i don't accept it so why should you? :blah

No really, one mans 'this is the greatest p2p ever MAN !! I found everything i ever....................................... is another mans waste of time.

I've browsed people that have had ten thousand files or more and downloaded nothing. Not one file. Music taste (not talking games software movies) is such a personal thing that you still get excited when you actually see other people that have some of the same stuff that you do. Just when you think Wow this person is great (cause he has the same taste as me) the list of songs will go off in some direction that will make you lose interest. So its off to the next one and so on and so on. Its endless and as far as findng that rare file very frustrating.

The only P2P that I've ever seen that DID have virtually everything was Audiogalaxy. That incredibly obscure file ( maybe not obscure to you) would be listed on Audiogalaxy. it might belong to someone in a cave who hasn't been online for years but it was listed.

Other than that and in case you didn't know teardropb audiogalaxy is kaput odds are maybe a little better with the WinMx's and Soulseeks of the world. But believe me i sympathize because i too have a pretty long list of things that i can NEVER find and YOU JUST KNOW there out there somewhere. Yeah whatya gonna do. If you ever find them it will be that much sweeter.

Say no more...

Teardropb - Welcome to ZP!

Okay - So I'll lay off of you. I just really dont like FLAME, but I accept that you needed sometime to understand the nature of things here - so welcome aboard.

I would suggest that you PM Galileo_ or CCSDUDE for info.
(Notice that Galileo's name has an underline _ attached to it when you PM him!)

Either of them definately would know how to find the file(s) you are looking for.
