I have been trying for a while to download files from school and work, because the connections are much faster there than my dial up at home. Problem is, I can't install any p2p programs on these computers, because I don't have administrator privledges. Does anyone know of a p2p that I can run from a zip disk, or cd-rw, or temp folder, so that I don't have to install it?
thanks

I don't know if this is possible. Most prograns have to write to the registry to be able to run, plus p2p programs create various files and folders on you C drive, so without Admin. privledges these actions arent allowed to happen. Perhaps someone else has some tricks up their sleeves.... Good Luck

So far you can't but maybe in the near future they might come out with one. Anyways, welcome to Zeropaid.

Actually I think that is kinda a cool idea, but I have never heard of or seen a p2p that doesnt self register itself into high or low memory.
If you have the possibility to connect a drive to a serial or parallel port than what you should do is direct download from websites. I dont know off the top of my head any links, but if anybody can think of any FREE direct download sites, POST THEM. (If your school or work bitches about administrator rights, I doubt they will let you re-arrange or attach additional equiptment to their system) so I have another solution:
If your school or job doesnt like people screwing around with the hardware of their systems, you can pick up a key ring USB Hard drive (they are about the size of your small finger) and attach it to the front or back of the computer into a USB port without anybody paying attention. They are plug and play so basically just download to that drive.
