help w/ burning dvd audio

i've looked thru past threads and couldn't find an answer to this, so if this a repeat, i am sorry.

we bought a new comp. and it has a dvd player and cd burner, a friend asked if i could burn the audio from a concert dvd onto a cd for use in the car.
is this possible? and how to go about it?

I don't know how legal this is, but if you got permission from the artist, then just get an ac3 ripping program, convert it to pcm. Burn it on CD.
