It smells like a hoax. The site said the GUI preview along with an updated site would be out wed 26th and till now nothing.

patience is a virtue you have apparently not been blessed with.
when was the last time winmx rolled out an update exactly when they said they would? not in awhile. why? bc they were making sure it was good. that it worked right. why waste time developing something, only to push a nasty prog out the dorr just to keep it on time?
thats how microsoft does things. and i hope we can all see what that does. lol.

Isus thats not the thing though...this is the same problem over and over. Sure WinMX may delay a little from the date they give, but they don't keep postponing dates over and over for months and months...Either its a hoax of bad taste or they don't know how to organize time.
And yeah, Patience is also my week point but I think most people understand what i mean

I thought we already determined that rapid road was a hoax when it missed its first deadline and we didn't get a word from them.

Seriously.. Who cares!?
Nobody cares about this program/subject any more.
It's VAPORWARE, we have established that a long time ago and there is no point in bringing it back up.

well considering today was the possible release date, I do care

So you still actually believe in this crap?
Don't get your hopes up..

Oh come on man, everyone can tell it was all a hoax by now. There has been NO word, no evidence, no nothing. When was the last time that DogTurd posted in Zeropaid forums for crying out loud!
Let.. it go.. my son...
johnboy5501
February 26th, 2003, 04:52 PM
hehe "let it go"....
you guys do have a point. BUT, what do you have to say about when Jock was creating Skinzaa? He posted in Zeropaid and for about 9 months nothing came out and he was quiet in zeropaid, BUT skinzaa did come out. So you see, even though all signs show this is a hoax, theres always a little room for a doubt.
Evil_Dweller_01
February 26th, 2003, 04:56 PM
Is skinzaa the same thing as rapidroad?
Is it made by the same guy?
If yes, you can assume that
If no, let it go

MEANWHILE,
the frogs behind the rapidroad hoax laugh at you every time one of you idiots posts another thread about them, fanning the flames of their dying hoax for another month
rapidroad is fake
deal with it and move on
ps what the hell is skinaza? who the hell cares if that came out or not? i don't see a skinaza forum on zp, do you?

notbob, tisc tisc....you're always contradicting me, and lots of others around too. Is it possible you could retain it for a little, just a little?! or is that too hard?

February 26th, 2003, 05:16 PM
lol... is rapidroad, that epidemic one?
haha... we'd have better luck seeing a project ft release. something serious, not an 11mb gui.
lol...
somebody shoulda told me.
you will never (ever ever ever ever) see this program.
i promise.
johnboy5501
February 26th, 2003, 05:18 PM
we'll see, or we're seeing it already
random nut
February 26th, 2003, 05:27 PM
Come on, rapidroad is fake. No sane person can think they're real. Like someone else said in this thread, they're probably laughing each time they read another RR thread. They proved with their silly FastTrack statements that they know squat about the FT protocol. And while we're on the subject of fakes, ES5 is fake too. Bunch of liars who also don't seem to know what they're talking about.

I've talked to a couple of people who've tried out the beta..doesn't beta mean its real?
Evil_Dweller_01
February 26th, 2003, 05:39 PM
No.... nobody cares about those "few" people who have supposedly tried the "beta" of a vaporware program..
If I can use it, it's real
If i just hear about it... its crap
johnboy5501
February 26th, 2003, 05:46 PM
the beta testers probably had the same theory "if i can use it, its real", and well they used it and it was real...for them.
So while someone is being skeptical and hasn't tried the beta and calling it fake, another is using it and calling it real.

What's your point? I beta tested Morpheus Preview Edition, Xolox, and Piolet and wasn't too impressed with any of them. (Piolet was the most impressive, but I didn't see a big difference between it and Blubster).
JUST because someone can produce a lame beta doesn't mean it is a real program, it's just to shut up some of the more naive critics.

Exactly...
Beta doesn't mean anything..
If there REALLY was a beta, it would have been distributed publicly and yet you just said that you were waiting for the GUI of the progarm.. who cares about the GUI? Who cares about some private beta? People who aren't easily fooled and are smart enough to understand that if there is no program that they can use than its crap until there is something... nuff said

"What's your point? I beta tested Morpheus Preview Edition, Xolox, and Piolet"
Morpheus, Xolox, and Piolet had private betas and they all turned out to be real. ES5 had a private beta so it could be real.
Remember I'm saying ***COULD***, just don't think I'm completely believing them. I have my skeptical side but i also give them the benefit of a doubt.

I kinda had the same feeling about es5. It supposedly is going to be released this Friday but I doubt it will be any good if it is even released.

I am giving them the benefit of the doubt also though. Their chat service was pretty cool.

this friday? You told me an email by them told you that it was BEFORE friday...which one is it?

He said before Friday but it doesn't look like that will happen so I am giving them until Friday till I label es5 vaporware.

somebody can't let go of the fact that rr is fake. that or they just wanna push up their post count... there are a lot of posts here, talkin about a whole lot of nothing... mostly in that rr is nothing.
es5 sounds like crap, but i think it is real. i think it will just be a sucky-ass network.

I am yet to make any comments about ES5 - Their program has already been hyped enough, yet we still havent gotten anything beyond words - but this fucking RapidRoad has longed been established a HOAX.
The difference between the 2, or more or less why ES5 got hyped was that ES5 has a real network defined by RIPE with 10,000 IP addresses, and they have given the public the ability to see their beta chat program. Also, a couple of people here got copies of ES5 - like Matt so there is some substance.
I dont define P2P by a program. Anybody can make a server/host program. I define P2P by its ability to perform in a multicast network with routers spread throughout the world whereas we can all join as server/hosts an upload/download, either directly or P2P. I helped hype ES5, and have long calmed down, but I should state that ES5 does have the potential because RIPE who allocates IP addresses doesnt just give them out. You have to prove you got the routers and do the BGP broadcasting.
Where the hell is this RAPID ROAD network and structure?
johnboy5501
February 27th, 2003, 06:22 PM
Monyak, glad to see you back...since you've helped ES5 can't you ask them when the beta will be out? Will that be tommorrow, the 28th?
Psilaxs
February 27th, 2003, 06:30 PM
Monyak, while i do have respect for you and your tenacity i must say this.
While i was looking forward to ES5, my interest is waning,
2 failed attempts at a release date, things arent looking pretty.
How long does it take to fix a chat bug? I mean hell, i dont code, but i could have learned enough in the time they have had to fix it, and do it myself.
And as far as your definition of what p2p is, well nuh uh, I aint buying it. You can have all the infrastructure in the world with a kabillion ip numbers and a semi cheesy chat system, but if the files arent flowing from HDD to HDD there is NO p2p.
Tomorrow is is the "big day" what reason will there be for it's delay this time? Host cahe bug error? File indexing redundancy error? Let me give them another one to fall back on (this one pretty much covers everything) "The .exe has caused a general protection fault and is being looked into"
:mellow
Though i do appreciate your taking time out, and putting your reputation on the line promoting them, perhaps it is time to recalculate?
BEST Regards,
Psilaxs

Psilxas,
Like you, I'm getting tired of waiting. But Monyak isn't the right guy to complain to. Hes not the developer of the program so he won't know the day it'll be released. Tommorrow is allegedly the "by the end of this month", that we've been waiting for. Oh, and when was the second failed attempt...I know about the February 14th but was there one before or after that?

I dont trust ES5 or Rapid Road I hope i am wrong but I think these 2 programs are just a big HOAX...they are just tryin' 2 have a good laugh and say ha these ZP and other File Sharing forums actually believed us... also i cant wait till monyak comes over here tryin' 2 tell me its true

Johnboy,
Looks like I was mistaken about the failed attemps,
and i really wasnt complaining TO Monyak, I like him, and didnt mean to be rude, it was more of a forward to whomever may be able to answer, Kabair or whatever his name is.
I dunno, just felt the need to vent coulda' been a lot worse
:cross lol
But Monyak has proven to have so much info on the subject this far, he really is the only one to ask.
Best Regards,

Psilaxs,
I understand that we need to vent our anxiety over ES5! And Monyak is the closest person from these forums we can correspond to about ES5. I just wish he would visit zeropaid.com more often to let us know what info he has. Man, I surely do hope ES5 comes out to tommorrow. If not, I think my belief in ES5 will begin to fade away. RapidRoad is now easily considered a hoax, but I hope the same doesn't apply to ES5 and that it will prove itself otherwise tommorrow.
