can anybody tell me how to configure DirectConnect for active mode? I can enter the hubs and search/download but i can ping..thanks in advance..

In order to use Dc in active mode, you need to list port to use, as well as ip address in "settings". If you atr behind a router/firewall, you will need to foreward the specified port you listed in the settings tab.

Try port 1412, it should work for you just fine.
