I have some friends who have ripped some PSX ISOs and have put them on KaZaA. I use KaZaA LIte K++ 2.03 and Diet Kaza, and when I try to search for their files, they don't come up. Also, a couple of them were using KaZaA Lite, while the rest had regular ol' KMD. The ones with KL couldn't get the files to come up in searches either, while the ones with KMD could. And they know that they are sharing the files because they are being uploaded to people. So what is the deal? Since KL is a sort of hacked version of KMD, does it filter some of the search results? I appreciate any information on this subject.

Oh, but you would trust the spyware infested regular kazaa which installs software which will Hijack your browswer, comprimise your privacy, and sell it to the highest bidder, ahh makes sense :mellow

Make sure you haven't disabled certain file extensions. Disable virus protection, and some other options in Kazaa and try again.

Haha!!!!lol
Psilaxs - Very good answer. But that really isnt the reason that I hate KaZaA so much - Well its just one of the reasons!
How many of you people live in the United States of the RIAA? How many of u people think that via Kazaa, your not important enough for the RIAA to run after you? How many of u think that the RIAA isnt recording your P2P movements?
Now, pay attention: Lets make a test...
Go into Kazaa and start uploading/downloading
Now go into your COMMAND PROMPT, while you are uploading/downloading or whatever, and type the word NETSTAT
See those IP's people? Now you see the traffic and how its established.
Now how hard is it to have a perl script running through the internet collecting those IP's?

It can take awhile for new files to get spread on kazaa becuase of the way it handles searches. If your freinds have these one of kind files you will have to be riding the same supernode for you to see the files. I sujest you try using DC or another program for trading rare files. In this manner kazaa can be a pain in the ass. Also kazaa is filtering search results by some means. There used to be some vids from a certain web site that always used the same two leters at the front of each mpg which made it very easy to find on kazaa. Now you cant find old ones or new ones anymore even though they were very popular. Does anyone know some info on this type of filtering?

You could try Kazupernodes and make sure you're on the same supernode. Other than that, leave searchmore on all night. I even found my own files that way. If that doesn't work, then Kazaa is a lying cheapskate and is blocking files. I don't really know what they have to gain by this, they can't even figure out how to add features to their program. I don't know why they would go to the work of blocking files and stuff.

I am not really of the RIAA coming after me because, as overdo said, I am only 1 in 4 million people and the chances of them sueing me or whatever are extremely slim.

Thats what most people think when it comes to the IRS. Most people dont think that they make enough money to be noticed.
Its the big companies that have big lawyers (in general) that the IRS doesnt fuck with because they know that the court proceedings will drag on for years. The IRS runs down on the small and middle class people in quantities whereas the heavy duty people rarely get fucked.
The RIAA wants to hurt the users. They will hit anybody and everybody at random. They know that the providers of software can always say something like ICQ says
"My program is nothing more than a host/server and if people use if not legally, well then thats their problem" but again, AOL who owns ICQ doesnt get fucked.
I have heard from various verified sources that Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures, and various other big conglomerates have been highering non stop liason companies to do their dirty work.
(they dont want to get involved directly with anything that could be considered semi-illegal)
These companies with highered programmers that insert trojan into the programs they share are building databases.
Their first objective is legislation. They need to prove the statistics. Your IP is part of the statistics. Keep thinking that the RIAA doesnt have objectives or long time goals. They have big budgets and very long time goals.
