Emule would be an obvious choice :)
I have downloaded over 100 files from Emule, and from those 100 files not a single one is on Kazaa, sad but true.
Sorry, but Kazaa kinda sucks :mellow

i really disagree with that. it takes aaaaaaaaages to download stuff from the ed2k network, whereas in kazaa everything is pretty fast. i can find almost anything on kazaa to tell the truth.

Well all this taken into consideration, let's not forget your download speed will depend on the person you are getting a file from.

Well if you are looking for Audio files you need Kazaa yes. But not the kinda stuff I look for, since I look for games. And I really am telling the truth I got several games off it which had over 500 sources, and zero.. zilch .. 0 .. not available on Kazaa.

Oh and by the way, I used Kazaa for 3 years!
But now I found Emule I uninstalled Kazaa. And the download speeds are just fine, you just don't download fast in the first hour (like 5 kb/s) but after an hour or 3, you get 20 - 30 kb/s on stuff that isn't even on Kazaa (or only has 1 source on Kazaa)

So there, I made my point :devil

you have a point, however

kazaa does have a BIG problem with fake files. which is very frustrating if youre a gamer or you like downloading iso's or bin's.

not all of us are able to leave emule on for long periods of time. i find that i dont get ANYTHING in the first hour, then in the second i get maybe 5kb/s. the highest ive ever got was wen i had a day off school, turned emule on at 9 an left it on for nearly 14 hours. and even then i only got 28kb/s!!!!!

Yeah but the point is you get the file. And it's better to get the file then not get it at all at Kazaa. Maybe we could discuss this on msn? :blah

For most stuff I would use K++ but movies might download faster off of emule.

I would use for file sharing Kazaa Lite ( K++ v. 2.0.3 ) It is definitely the best.
And for downloading files from the web I would use Download Accelerator Plus. It lets you connect to a site up to ten times and that way you are receiving a file ten times faster.

And once again that is just my opinion.

el_omega, download accelerators are a joke. Nowhere does Speedbit say their software accelerates anything. The software increases download speed by up to 300 percent !!! according to users and website reviews !!! The only thing they're good for is to resume interrupted downloads or download scheduling if you're on dial-up. Nothing one really needs to care about on broadband. But that's just my opinion.

I agree, Download Accelerator doesn't speed anything up (at least to me it doesn't) besides I have a 1MB line. It only uses up precious Windows memory =D

You can get good dvd rips and all kinds of Iso/Bin files from kazaa it's just that amongst so much shit within the fastrack network it is sometimes hard to find the good stuff but it is still there if you are persistent and able to filter out the crap.
