Irfanview. Small and can read 200 different picture formats. It's only 4.5 MB with all the plugins and 1 MB without them.

Even easier (for simple resizing or adjusting GIF files), go to www.gifworks.com online tools

p.s. hi Ryan!

if yo have Microsoft paint then follow theese instructions...........

1) Right Click the File

2) Open with Paint

3) Once your in Paint then simply click the Drag little doohickies and look in the very bottom right of the Paint Prog. It will show you how many pixels it is now.

ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!, thats how i got got this avatar!, it was right about 2X the normal size, follow it and it should tell you

hmm, its possible, but it requires about 30 minutes of your time:

take a screen capture for each frame of the gif... after each frame, go to paint, paste it, resize as you want, and then save as gif. (looks nicer if you save to 24bit bmp, then resave as gif in photoshop or whatever...)

after you get all the frames, go to www.webattack.com, search for 'unfreez'.

unfreez > it will dl as a zip file, and uncompress as a single exe. no installation, nothin... i love it, its so nice and tidy

drag the frames from windows to unfreez, select an interval between frames (experiment) and then make the gif.

thats how i did my gauge avatar ;)

That's a cool little app isus. I was looking for one that did not involve downloading an enitire new image software just for making animated gifs.

lol, yea... i found it bc i couldnt do it with photo house from corel, and obviously not with paint... i love webattack bc you can find free stuff there, that gets the job done. stuff you wouldnt find at download.com, etc.

Yea Isus, thanks for the link to the Unfreez. (Well, the link to the place where you search for it but you know what I mean.) I have been looking for something like that and it is pretty useful.
