Straight from Spybot S&D
Company: Macrovision
Product: CDilla
Threat: Privacy breach
Company URL: http://www.macrovision.com/
Company product URL: http://www.c-dilla.com/
Functionality
Copyright protection software
Description
BE WARNED: The application that has installed CDilla may stop working if you remove it!
Do not remove if you haven't updated to 1.1 rel 3 or later!
Basically, protection against pirated copies of copyrighted media is a good thing. The bad thing about this one is that it is often installed without the knowledge of the user; and at least here in Germany we may create a copy or two for personal usage (for example car CD player), while this software blocks every copy. And according to their own advertisement it also protects against unauthorized internet downloads. So it's even watching internet access. We DO condemn audio/video/software piracy, but we do also condemn privacy breaches.
BE WARNED: The application that has installed CDilla may stop working if you remove it!
Do not remove if you haven't updated to 1.1 rel 4 or later!
If you need to keep CDilla on your system because another application needs it, I would recommend you take care you have a firewall installed, so you can block it when it tries to phone home.
DO NOT delete this file, you DO need it if you want to continue using the program it came with

did you recently install Turbo Tax? I know for a fact it is part of that program, it's the # 1 complaint about this year's Turbo Tax. If you did install Turbo Tax and got it this way, i believe they have complete removal of it as part of their update to the program.

C-Dilla is a DRM program similar to Product Activation but more extreme. It's now called SafeCast. See more about it here (http://www.extremetech.com/print_article/0,3998,a=36914,00.asp).

yeah, it's part of the product registration in Turbo Tax and people are saying that it's still there after removing the program. Intuit claims it's not spyware but that's irrelavant because you didn't install turbo tax. oh well, i tried,. good luck!
