I was just wondering if you guys save most or all of your setup files to programs. This can range from freeware, shareware, trialware, and *cough cough* you know the other means. And whatever size they may be.........Not only for sharing with others but for making a neat and easy way for you to restore them if need be. This will be easy for you to install them again, even though many of them are likely to have more updates since that installation. Do you put them all in one folder or what? Once again, I'm just wonderin........

Any program I download and like I keep the installer and then burn to CD, and any program that I use a lot, I burn to an other CD that's only used when I have to reformat my harddrive so I can reinstall all my programs, so it saves me the stress of having to look over a crap load of CD's looking for the one installer. And if any of those prgrams have had updates I download them, see if I like it and decide weather or not I'll update the one on the CD.

I think this is what you mean
NOTE: I erased a few file names, it would be obvious that I dont actually own those programs

Thanks to both of you guys. Koffee Bean, that appears to be a fail-proof way to do things. Once I get my comp running up to my standards again, I'm gonna make sure to back up everything. And Phalkon answered my question to the extent I needed to be answered. Just a bit of a curious question, hehe.
