eMule

Hey folks.

So I have downloaded eMule. It looks like one hell of a program but I have had a few problems and hope the pros here can help.

1. I cannot seem to locate a working link to update my server list. I can find plenty of links, just none that actually work.

2. I cannot seem to get rid of my low ID. I seem to connect with a ID of 18 each time. Is there any way to improve this without shooting myself in the hea...I mean without opening ports in my firewall?

3. There really isn't a third problem. Feel free to post any suggestions that you may have for a new P2P user.

Get yourself over to the emule forum (http://www.emule-project.net/board/index.php) and also read the eMule manual (http://www.emule-project.net/faq/)

Here are some server.met address -some will be out of date, but you only need 1 or 2-

Server.met URLs

To update your server.met file,

Automatic- on start up= put one working address from below into the 'address.dat' file in the emule dir.
Manual = put one address into emule ,in the servers tab,where it says "Update server.met from URL" & hit update button


once you get going you dont really need these.You can just get servers from other users,just make sure you have the feature ticked in preferences.

I really like the mule -best for large files movies,games, it starts off slow but gets better and faster the longer you stay,so stick with it ,
