Ok, I just bought some wires so i could hock up my stereo to my computer.

But, I'm having some problems with it, I hocked everything up properly but i got no sound when i connected it directly to my computer. so i hocked it up to the headphone jack on my little computer speakers i have here, but when i do this, i get sound but my computer speakers have to be turned right up for me to get ok sound, but the problem is, i get no bass at all, even when my stereo speakers are turned up to about 60 and i get very little bass. i checked all connections over and over agian, but still no luck.

So can anyone help me with this here?

surround sound porn is nice

make sure the connections aren't reversed and that you plugged it in the right audio slot on your motherboard. i take it you know this much already so nevermid what i just wrote

ok, the most common things i would probably do:

wrong connection... make sure that the cable (which i would guess would be a mini-headfone to rca cable) is not in the phonograph connection for your stereo. um, i dont think this applies to your problem since i think most stereos that can connect to a phonograph (aka record player) amplify that signal.

wrong headfone jack... i have seen 2 jacks, one line out/one line in, to 7 jacks... so just make sure you've got the cable plugged into the right one.

tape monitor... i do this a lot... i bump the button for 'tape monitor' on my stereo, and it acts like a mute... you can still hear things, but only when the volume is cranked way up. make sure the volume is down, then turn it off. lol. i've had my volume 100% and then turned off the tape monitor, and it was pretty loud.

thats all i can think of. just make sure everything is going where you think it should be going.

But, I found out what was causing the problem, After fidding around with the connections, i found out that the spliter connecters were fucked.

But Thanks guys!

what a coincidence! Just today, i bought a 20 foot rca wire and an rca-stereo mini jack thing to hook my awesome stereo system up to my computer. If only i had asked someone at zeropaid on what to do- O wait, i did! thanks zp
