serious error? ick.

Ok, I was having a problem with my printer, so I turned off my computer, disconnected it, reconnected, then turned the computer back on.

I've done this once before with no problems. When the computer finished loading up, I got the following message, in the pic below. And even though I clicked Close, the window keeps poppng up....

I'm on XP home, it's a Lexmark printer.

So, what could have happened?

Jlee delete your printer from PRINTERs in Control Panel.

Leave it hooked up, and reboot, see if XP adds it as new hardware.

If it doesnt, then go to PRINTERS and add it back manually, reboot.

You have a decide driver problem similiar to one that rahgwar had last night.

Also, if that msg appears again, look at the details.
