unzip the file and seewhat you have. If it does not unzip look at your program. Use delete and then reinstall.

First check your file with a good virus scanner. There is a free online service at panda online

I have downloaded files that would not open sometimes. I have 3 different utilities I use to open files. I try one if it does not work often another does work. Not sure why, maybe mislabled?
I use WinRar, 7-zip and PowerArchiver. If a file won't work with one of these, chances are it is corrupted and it will not ever work. Also don't just click on a file if you do not know what it does. In the very least perform a virus scan.

Roger d and Rickio are correct you should always scan for virus and TROJANS if you don't know the authenticity of any file.
Also when implementing Demo conversion proggies 99% of the time you should place the program file in the root folder of the program that you are trying to convert before executing.
