Just wondering wasnt Cydoor the company that bundled Spyware with Kazaa ?
Just wondering if it was how it came to be the sponsors of zeropaid.......
No offense to anyone of course..........

cydoor is also an advertising company, but is primarily used in application (eg kazaa). it does seem off though that they would want to be involved with a site that condemns spyware. mind you with the (relatively) recent events i wouldnt be surprised if you told me zp was a department of sharman networks.

People must remember though, Cydoor is not spyware. Its more like adware. As far as ZP's involvement, I couldn't care less.

There was a post there it was mine, and all it stated was that it helps to pay the bills to keep this site operating.

cydoor was involved in spyware at one time. they claim to have changed their act and just do adware now. to be honest i don't really care. its not like i use any spyware programs on my pc. and if cydoor are paying for us to be able to use zeropaid, then i'm not at all bothered.

If you are concerned about spyware just download the new ad-aware 6.0. It is available on the network. It was a long time coming but it found an additional 18 spyware components on my machine and I had been checking it regularly is version 5.83 and spybot.

Get a firewall to block the ads and case closed. Hell I don't even see them anymore but I know what you are talking about. Remember, it's just an ad.. nothing more (it's not going to hurt/invade your computer like the bundled software that comes with KaZaA).

ad- aware (in vers. 5.x, I am not sure what theyve done in six) took cydoor off their list of adware/spyware/malware.... and cexx.org did as well. so apparently they have hcnaged their ways.
but as I said in a past thread about this, I find it extremely rich in poetic irony..... I enjoy the fact that cydoor helps fund this forum (to a lesser degree then it seems I am sure)... I mean, isnt that ironic? dont you think?
I mean this, hell, I hope they give the ZP crew thousands every month.... call it atoning for past sins or something.

They do! Go to your user control panel (the first button at the top toward the middle right side) -> Click 'Edit options' -> and in the 'Message notification' table click yes on the "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" option -> Then scroll to the bottom and click 'Submit modifications'.

They make updates almost every week.
