Claims to have 10X performance on Kazaa and is rumored to have closed some very large entertainment deals in the past month. Does anyone know anything about them??

Jibe seem to be trying to sell a content distribution system with DRM to companys so they can see music(or whatever) with fast downloads to customers and anti-piracy features.

It's vague about the details, they could be talking about somthing similar the the akaimi network rarther than p2p between end users.

Jibe seems to be of little interest to us.

O/T Akaimi distributes a lot of high traffic stuff such as banner ads and antivirus updates. They go to ISP's and say "Hey would you like a free server that will reduce the amount of traffic you get from outside your network".

so I am sure Jibe isn't anything like Akamai at all. Its a true P2P service and it works. They just signed a major to distribute the first ever full length mainstream movie via the internet which will be for sale of course but at some ridiculous cost structure.

so check them out and let me know what you think

now one thing they do like akamai though is chunking where they split the movie into "chunks" or pieces that are available at different locations in the peered array.

let me know like I said I am curious.

why would we listen to you? where are your credentials?

i love it when people come in here with capitalist garbage called a "digital content provider" which spouts a bunch of buzzwords which are seen as intelligent by only the lowest level of human life: business majors, VC's, and media whores.

what next? are you going to mail us shit and tell us it's chocolate cake?

Is NotBob really streamOG

Or is "justwatchingthanks" really streamOG?

This whole "Thread" makes me cringe.

i "outed" justwatchingthanks in the news section after looking at his 2 forum posts and his outright billg licking in the "zeropaid newscast" story

if i were streamog, i'd capitalize more, use more words the wrong way, and have more spelling mistakes (plus he's prone to unexplained bouts of flaming when cornered, my flames are much more personal and indirect)
