LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- The owners of the KaZaA file-sharing network are suing the movie and recording industries, claiming that they don't understand the digital age and are monopolizing entertainment.

I thought that kazaa was decentralized. Wouldn't that mean that even if a judge shut them down that there would be no way for them to actually shut down?

I believe it would be up to the jury to decide. the countersuit
indicated they were concerned about the USA. so other
countrys would be exempt. ( just my thought).

That's a good question Al13.. I really wonder if it's truely decentralized as well.. i asked that question in another thread http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6098&perpage=15&pagenumber=2 but no one has responded yet.
soo here it is again.. morpheus at one time used fasttrack.. forgot to pay it's bills and the algorithm was changed so that it couldn't connect if i'm not mistaken. So i'm guessing, that kazaa can be shut down. What do you guys think?

anything can be shut down even if it takes caveman tactics (swinging a sledgehammer) but the thing is p2p will always rebuild itself and/or grow
