Hi,
I've had approximately 25 uploads completed of reasonably sized files.
I've made approximately 10 downloads during that same period of time.
However, my participation rating only seems to go down when I complete downloads and it does not ever seem to go up when someone else completes an upload.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,
Billy01

You might want to give the latest KaZaA Lite 2.0.2 (http://www.k-lite.tk/) a try. No need to worry about your PL as it stays to a constant 1000. To me I find that the participation level that is incorporated into KaZaA has got to be the worst feature in a p2p program. But give the latest version a try.

I thought of that, I certainly would like to avoid the spyware, but would rather have an accurate participation level rather then tweak it, as it seems like cheating otherwise.

Well the way I look at it, if you want high priority downloads with good speeds, the latest version of KaZaA Lite should take care of that. But if you rather have a constantly low PL (up & down, up & down, ect....) & not take advantage of the high priority downloads, then stick with an older version of KaZaA, the way they wanted it to be. As you can tell, I am not a big fan of this whole Participation Level feature. People will always find a way to hack it. These days people want speeds, not being "rewarded" with some cheap measly 2 points, 5 points, 50 points, 75 loaves of bread, 269 toster ovens, oh heck, 557 back sctratchers, ect.... everytime someone uploads from them. Then they get "demoted" or "punished" for downloading so now their PL goes down. Just a complete, utter less waste of time in my opinion.
