hope it doesn't seem like I'm spamming the place, but I keep adding stuff :)

I grabbed some code from OpenWire and updated it to work with the latest LimeWire/AquaLime source. Result: AquaLime now has Jabber support. Jabber is an open, semi decentralized chat protocol.

I figure I should try to keep all the best features from the limewire knockoffs in one client :)

packaging it up now. 286c on the way. 287 needs to come out so I can stop using letters hehe

I'm the author of that OpenWire project. Sadly I've not been able to continue working on it since my autumn vacancies. - But I'm confident to pick up work again in my spring vacancies in about three weeks.

I'm not sure I will continue working on jabber, - the protocol is pretty centralized and the echomine API I'm using is not very stable.

I've already started working on a completely gnutella based groupchat/IM solution (more or less just a new version of LimeWire's CHAT protocol enabling it to establish IRC-like groupchats) - unfortunately I lost part of it because of a harddisk failure...

nice. that would beat using some external code for Jabber. It does add a bit of heft to the download.

I'll send you an email and we'll get something worked out. No need to duplicate stuff too much :)

Nicely done with Jabber btw, despite the limitations :) it does work..
