I just got new classes in school today (10th grade in High School) one of which is called Basic Computer Apps..If i pass this next year i can take advanced computer apps. now i chose this class thinking cool maybe i could learn like some C++ Visual Basic or something real awesome that would help me later in life when i try to become a game programmer, programmer or something like that. then i get to the class and the teacher starts talking about working with microsoft office all of that crap...nothing about corell or all of the other (just as descent tools) and then she starts telling us about taking mous tests after both courses for some odd amount of money and she tells us what it means (microsoft office user and i forget the rest and come up with something like microsoft offices united slaves and microsoft office user slaves becuase i think its sad that you can even get a certification saying you can use microsoft word or whatnot.....I would really be interested in opions on it and if anybody knows if its really a good thing to have especially for my hopeful career
