here's my problem. i recently built a cgi script at my website, that can (for most ppl) id their os and browser, and log it for me. well, my friend went there, and it was an unknown os but the browser was ie6. i looked at the script, and it logged her as windows nt 5 (not nt 5.1, which is xp).
so i had her go thru the system control panel, to see what os she had. she told me it was windows 98.
i didnt think win98 was any type of NT.
???
i am pretty sure that both actions were performed on the same computer.
