Since some members, such as myslef wish to use IE as their browser I will try and guide those few through to posting with the current site upgrade fuck up.

If you are using IE 7 or 8 go to ZP forums. Please login as usual. Once you do such you will in all likelyhood see a page telling you to login again to beable to post. DO NOT DO SUCH!!!!!!

Rather just hit your refresh button and you will find that you are logged in and able to post. You may have troubles with editing your post as well. (Plus about a dozen other fucking problems as well::cursing:::cursing:)

When you edit make sure you use the advanced setting when you do such or you will get fucked up all over again.
Hopefully this will help those members who are finding that they can not login to the Zipper with a IE browser.

I had issues with Chrome AND firefox on my mac last night.

Now, for some magic reason, it recognizes me.

However all the text editing tools are completely unavailable.

Nice to see you back, Tater. This has been going on now for ages. The admins are well aware of it, but as to whats's taking so long to fix it, I'm completely stumped. Only our ZP God knows that.

I have to hard refresh to view new posts on threads I've responded to? WTF.

Sure way to kill your site's forums: Make them impossibly annoying to post on.

I have to do the same to see new posts. I'm using FF, mostly. IE 7 at work, but it's all the same shit.

It shows you how bad it is when mods have to post workarounds for our members to log in and hopefully post. We should just create a sticky thread for all the things you have to do to log in and post here.

Step one would be to make them care.

Threat Stickied, why not, it is a generally annoying problem for many users.

If you're going to sticky a thread for glitched vB workarounds, don't you think it should be called something other "Logging In To ZP Via IE8"?

Perhaps, "Logging In To ZP Via IE8 and other glitched vB workarounds"?

It is dogs thread. I could edit the title, but maybe you should ask him first.

I was really only joking about stickying the thread. In all honesty we shouldn't have to use workarounds. The admins should've had this fixed yesterday.

There you go for your title change RR. Feel free to make any changes to my threads, post etc that will improve them. Thanks.

Looks good, my friend. A sticky thread for vB forum 4.1.7 glitches and workarounds...beautiful!

I just wish our ominous ZP God would just get it fixed once in for all.

Is every other vBulletin on the internet running 4.1.7 having the same issues or is it just us? Unfuckingbelievable!

The bottom link is to another site that upgraded to the 4.1.7. They have no problems and the upgrade went smoothly.
In fact viewing the board looks like ours did before the upgrade.

It is my thought that the problem with of the upgrade was do too problems on our end during the application of the software.

i wrote a long winded post on how to get the site somewhat functional here (http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/threads/63119-Html5?p=633955&viewfull=1#post633955). i'm glad this thread came up, hopefully returning members will see it and be able to log back in and post.

@potato; the text editing tools are all available, but the image icon set hasn't been linked properly (from i gathered from the VB support forums). if you hover your mouse over the blank area where they should be, you'd get a description of the invisible button and can use it. this particular problem is just down to plain apathy IMO :/

Thanks for the info. If you didn't link to your thread I never would have seen it.

Sorry to other mods who wanted more proactive modifications to the thread. The only reason I stickied it is to encourage, or nudge repairs along. Kind of like when people leak embarrassing info about their company to the media. It also will serve more purpose to those experiencing issues.

Zachery is usually mister helpful, but this time, not so much. It doesn't appear to me that you have much in the way of customizations here, and the pages that are coming up with errors are for the most part not ones you would customize with hacks. It looks to me like corruptions in your uploads, which is kinda shored up by your js errors resolving after you re-upped those files. You ought to re-up any of the files giving you the "contents unexpected" errors, it won't hurt anything or have any affect on the db, so why not?

Since the buttons are whited out. I've typed out a workaround for formatting posts here (http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/threads/63175-vBulletin-Code-%28for-those-who-can-t-format-without-the-buttons%29?p=634171#post634171) in the mean time. This includes a handful of speed keys that makes formatting really quick. This is also from memory, so it's far from complete, but most of the popular formatting code is there to my knowledge. Hope this helps.
