I was wondering about programs that help out to fill out your income tax return in a very easy way to follow.
I heard of some but quite frankly I need some opinions.

I hear you shouldn't use Turbo Tax this year, they started new copy protection scheme that does not allow you to move files between computers for backups without another activation key even you own the original. NOT even if you call them for another key!

You can do it for free at Quicken or H&R Block .com if you make less than around 20K, look at their webpage for details.
To file a simple return, you only need 3 things, you do not have to wait for your W2s
1) Gross income from all employers
2) Total Federal with-holdings from all employers
3) each employers tax ID #
You may obtain this info by calling your employers HR dept. Make ABSOLUTELY certain you have the name correct too, if filing online.

i've always used turbo tax and it was very simple, but i hear all bad things about it this year so i bought Taxcut. Supposed to be just as good. go to amazon.com and read the reviews on Turbo Tax and i,m sure you won't buy it, i didn't for the first time.

Well I have checked a few of the sites, probably I would go with Taxcut.
I would use the other services but I don't make 20k just a little more.
Hope somebody else post more comments on this subject.
I think there are a lot more than 3 programs to do your income tax return for yourself. I know you can do this manually but I prefer having some assistance when it comes to it.
