Did you try put the dll in your windows\system directory?

I have looked for my win95 dlls on the following site (before I got win98):
http://marketwizz.net/windows95/win95a/index.html
(You can go and check if you've got the right one)

There is a general dll - WWW - board on
http://www.uforesources.com/

you need to download and install this (http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/wuadmintools/s_wunetworkingtools/w95sockets2/?RLD=357) microsoft update.

I still run Win 95 and have had no problems with WinMX.
There used to be a post on the WinMx Homepage about Win95,
but it is no longer there.
What you probably need is the Winsock2 Update-Ws2-32.dll.
You can get that from Microsoft.
Download and install this. It should solve your problem.Winsock2 Update (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/bin/w95ws2setup.exe)
