While using Virtualdub to save the wav for Signs, an error popped up 50 seconds into the process that said "ACM reported an error on audio decompress (200)"

Can anyone explain that to me? Is there any way around it, or should I delete the file and try to find another one?

Are you streaming out and saving the sound from the movie?

What is it you are doing?

Just saving the audio from the file. Here are the steps I go through: After loading the file, under Audio I click Full Processing Mode. Then, Audio-Compression, No Compression. Then, Audio-Conversion, I click 44100Hz as the sampling rate. Then File-Save Wav. It works for most movies, but I think Signs is the second movie I've had this error with (the other was The Scorpion King).

I then use Tmpgenc to convert the video.

This is another issue, but maybe you can help with this too. Some of the new movies I've found (Insmonia, K19 The Widowmaker, Minority Report, Murder By Numbers...) that are split into two downloads instead of one whole movie won't work with this process I've described above. I follow the same steps, and I get the following error when I click Save Wav: "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format." I've learned alot of what I know from vcdhelp.com, but I'm not advanced enough to figure this one out.

Thanks for the help.
