Probably Celiene Dions "Power of Love" I know some here may gag when they read that, but it is a great romantic love song. I really dig this type of music, and if you want some good song recomendations, just let me know ;)
BEST regards, and congratulations.

I would go with Ugly Kid Joe's : I hate everything about you.
Well maybe not, Bryan Adams had a string of extremely sentimental songs in the 90's. I would imagine any of them would do but I'll suggest : Everything I Do.

"Heaven" by Warrant is a great love song. The lyrics touch the heart.
Rest in peace, Maurice.

It would either have to be:
I Knew I Loved You - Savage Garden
-or-
Truly Madly Deeply - Savage Garden
Those 2 would have to be the best from 1990-2003. Good luck, and I hope you're marriage turns out to be a blooming success ; )

There are so many.....but TRULY MADLY DEEPLY by Savage Garden has to be at the top of the best slow songs ever list....
Lyrics:
I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope, I'll be your love be everything that you need.
I love you more with every breath truly madly deeply do..
I will be strong I will be faithful 'cos I'm counting on
A new beginning. A reason for living. A deeper meaning.
Chorus
I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me ...
And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish send it to heaven then make you want to cry.
The tears of joy for all the pleasure and the certainty.
That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of
The highest power. In lonely hours. The tears devour you.
Chorus
Oh can't you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes 'cos it's standing right before you.
All that you need will surely come ...
I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope, I'll be your love be everything that you need.
I'll love you more with every breath truly madly deeply do ...

Well Grimdevil69, I'm sorry to hear about your near fatal future marriage. The only slow songs I know of are by Mazzy Star, and those are for . . .errrr .. . non marriage related interests.

Look at my post, now he's lied his ass off in the past. I'm sure he's lying again.
First he's outta school then he's in school, programmer, just leaning to program, "DMC" finished....I need money for DMC, ect.
So do any of you honestly think he's telling the truth this time?
He's prolly 14 with an over active imagination. Getting married....? Hehe.....
As for me, I'm a morbid bastard, so, I'd probably choose Yesterday by the Beatles.
Edit: On second thought, maybe Michelle would be a better choice.....

I'm not a huge fan of "slow songs" as in Soft Rock and Slow Jams. Anyway, I guess "Runes and Men" by Death In June is my current favorite song with a slow pace. For slow (doom) metal, I guess "Beneath The Fading Sun" by Solitude Ęturnus would be my favorite.
Edit: Wait, screw metal, my other favorite would be "Jism" by Tindersticks.

Anything by Carcass or Pungent Stench will go. Special songs for your sweetheart :p
"Sensual awakening
Numbing feeling's dead
Conception's romanticised
Synthesized broken heart's to bled
Without emotion you heartstring's played
Strummed and severed to the tune of a tragic serenade
[A tragic chorus]
Without emotion, your heartstrings break
Snapped and severed to the tune of a tragic, sad cliche
No love lost
When all is said and done
There's no love lost
The low cost of loving
Amorous travesty
Human frailties and weakness are easy prey
How your poor heart will bleed"

Not so much for a wedding, but if you ever want a good anniversary song, one that is unique also, look up DJ Sammy's Heaven (slow version). It's the Bryan Adam's cover, with a girl singing it(beautiful voice) and just a piano playing in the background to start, then a violin softly in the background. I was really surprised with how good it is. If anyone has an anniversary coming up, download it and give it a listen, you probably won't find a better song.

But this is a break-up song, Linda sings it like she's trying not to cry. As I think it should be. Did you know Dolly Parton wrote it?

I was supposed to be in charge of the music at my wedding last summer--I wanted SRV's Lenny, and the band's guitarist was a huge SRV aficionado. First my wife wasn't sure about it, knowing my eclectic taste and not ever having heard it. Then the bass player crushed his hand 2 days before the wedding, so the singer in the first band found another band for us at the last minute but they didn't know any Stevie Ray, so it never got played anyway. I couldn't tell you what the slow song was that they played. But as it turned out it wasn't all that important--and we're still married, so what the hell.
If you're having a DJ, I suggest for you Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan, or The Eels - Beautiful Freak.
Or SRV - Lenny. Someone oughta use my idea.
