How does this section work in WinmX?
For Example if I want to let .avi open with AviPreview.exe how can I set-up file launching?
I have tried in this way
File Ext : .avi
Action : open
Command : C:\AviPreview.exe
Params :
Working Dir :
But it doesn't work, is there anyone who knows how to use this adavanced option?
Thanks in adavance

Same here
Where is avipreview installed? I sorta doubt its straight off the C:\ drive
My guess is you need some command line paramaters

AVipreview is in c:\ directory
We need a guide for FILE LAUNCHING , all WinmX Guide on the NET don't explaint this feature :-(
maybe it's too hard?

ok, you got it right except for the command:
C:\AviPreview.exe %path%
put that exactly in there, just make sure that avipreview.exe is in the C:\ dir...otherwise, change the command as needed

the file may be in use...are you downloading it currently? try pausing it and then try again. if that doesn't work, make sure you have the latest version of avipreview.

I think CPU is correct here, that second screen shot makes me think that, either try pausing, or shut off winmx, the file seems locked
Is it possible its only designed to work with .dat files, and not incomplete avi? maybe you need to do the divx fix on it
BTW, you do know thats an italian movie right? the ITA usually means that

haha the ita thing, in my early days...I downloaded a movie that said divx-ita, I said wow whats that, and i downloaded it, next thing i knew, ed norton's mouth was out of sync and he was speaking a foreign language. i think it was french.....

The file wasn't used by other applications...I tried both on Incomplete file and complete without any results
DivX ITA? ..Yes , it's and Italian Movie
Maybe, not all software Work in FILE LAUNCHING with WinmX?

make the command just "avipreview.exe" without the quotes, and with out %path%...that worked for me...give it a try.

Hmm, well now it does open the program, but it does the same thing that was posted earlier with the errors
Makes me wish I understood command line, and programing languages past Qbasic
