Turning a CD spindle case into a plant propagator or other botanical project is an incredibly easy project.

CD spindle cases can make convenient little greenhouses for starting seeds for the garden, growing humidity-loving plants indoors, or making school projects. You can find them in various sizes and probably have a few lying around just waiting to be upcycled.

I did something similar with one of my 25 CD spidles. Instead of a portable greenhouse, it's a giant DS cartridge case. I'm so glad it didn't get nabbed when I got robbed, because I have about 50 games in that thing.

I bet if I hadn't stopped opening my new DS games because of my R4, I'd have needed to upgrade to a 50 CD spindle case. It's almost full.
