I'm trying to burn some individual Anime episodes onto one disk so I can watch them in order in continous play. I have a Toshiba - SD3750 which doesn't support SVCD according to vcdhelp.com. It does however support VCD and XVCD. Can I burn with the XVCD format with Nero? Is it better visually than SVCD or what? Also, how do I check to see if the vid clips are the same bitrate, have the same codecs and the same resolution? Would I be able to watch them without any problems if I left them as seperate files?

XVCD is just an out of spec VCD/SVCD.
Soooooo there is no "real" XVCD compatible. However, I'm skeptic of the brand name.....buy yourself a cheap 50 buck Apex and you should be able to throw anything you have SVCD/XVCD/VCD at it without problems.
To make an XVCD just use higher bitrate audio when you convert the anime EP to mpeg1/2 and up the bitrate for the video.
DO NOT change the standard resolution or it won't play.
That's about it....XVCD is just a 'retarded' version of a VCD (mpeg1) or a SVCD (mpeg2).
I seriously would advise you to spend a bit of cash on a ATi or some video card with TV out.
Plug the RCA/S-video hook up from the cards TV out into your TV and output your sound card via a mini jack to RCA converter to your amp or the inputs on your VCR (that go through to your TV so you get the sound in an all in one package with the video ; ) ).
Now once that's set up you hit up the display settings (desktop > right click > properties) and switch over to TV mode then use a media player with a play list (make one up of the whole series lmfao or whatever) and set it to full screen. Now kick back and watch your ass off. ; )
It's ALOT easier then converting to VCD and risking a shitty rip/an error in the avi file halting Tmpeg/ect.
Plus you waste no CDR's and take zero time burning/converting when you get a new batch of stuff to watch.

Yeah that's an option. On the other hand I bought 100 Blank discs for about $1.98 from Staples (after rebate) and actually learning how to do something like video editing would probably be beneficial in broadening my computer knowledge. And my pockets are about as empty as GW's head, so buying a card isn't an option, but when I get a new computer I'll deftinately try it out.
