Hi I have been using winmx 2.6 for now more than 2 years, recently I have been having some problems with it, freezing ups, 2-8 sec long, and showing white ir grye pages when going from different tabs?

Why is that? I have plenty of RAM 512 of it, and it just only started in the lest weel..

Is 2.6 going faulty on purpose to move to 3.1?

On another note, what are the best settiings for winmx 2.6 using Zonealarm firewall. I have currently on the tcp and udp enabled settings and it works fine, but sometimes after a while, no one can upload from me no more, why's that...

Help would be very much appreciated, thx..

2 Years of Winmx, first time i need to use forums for a comflict so can't complain too much, I also recently downloaded a program called maxmem to see if this helps, will have to see....

Thx in advance

Well, no one answered me, but no matter, been busy all yesterday and today to find a solution to my problem and i have found one.

First I thought it was the program not working but it is not, then i thought it was my Ram but it was not, so i tweaked my cache and it runs really smoothly now and may help others, so click on the link below to install this little program, PS, after install, choose setting "file servers" apply settings, then it asks you to reboot DON'T, just minimise the window and it will stay in ur tray, I saw the diff straight away, and you can also change the settings to other ones by right clicking the icon n the tray to unveal more settings, but file server seemed to work best ;)

Enjoy!
